This is a cracking walk and in our opinion, one of the must-walk circuits of the Lake District. You will get to summit 8 Wainright peaks, Yep that's 8 Wainright peaks!! plus you'll be treated to sweeping panoramic views of the Lakes, including all the major summits and stunning views over Windermere (on a clear day).

Fairfield Horseshoe is an experience that you won't easily forget, it's amazing. At 10.5 miles this is a longer than normal walk for us so it's worth making sure you bring some extra supplies to eat and drink on the way around, we'll have plenty of stops to enjoy them. This walk is more suited for people with a medium + level of fitness as 7+ hours on your feet is a fairly long day out.

We'll head out of Ambleside and start our walk heading anti-clockwise via Sweden Bridge towards Low Pike. From Low Pike, we will summit High Pike, Dove Crag, Hart Crag, Fairfield, Greatrigg Man, Heron Pike and finally Nab Scar. Depending on the weather we will either stop for our packed lunch at the top or shortly afterwards as we head down.

This is a circular walk so we will finish in Ambleside for a well-deserved brew before we head off home.

What's the cost? = This walk is £40 per person, but 100% will be donated to the Alzheimer Society.

What's the group size? = Maximum of 10 for this walk.
