This is one of the most beautiful and varied places to explore in the Lake District. Our route takes us up 4-summits which provide amazing views (sadly only on clear days).
We'll take in deep valleys, steep ridges, tarns, and breathtaking mountain views. Blencathra is an iconic mountain and is one of the most loved in the Lakes. Wainwright dedicated more pages to Blencathra than any other mountain in his series of books. We think this walk is a must for anyone wanting to explore the Lakes.

This is a circular walk that starts in Mungrisdale, the postcode is CA11 0XR, should you wish to check it out. The four summits we'll take in are Souther Fell, Blencathra, Bannerdeale Crags and Bowscale Fell. Depending on the weather we will either stop for our packed lunch at the top or shortly afterwards as we head down.

We will finish back in Mungrisdale for a well-deserved brew before we head off home.

FAQs

What should I bring? = Walking boots, waterproofs, suncream, rucksack, 2 litres of water, packed lunch plus any sweets and nibbles you fancy. A flask of coffee is also a good shout!!

Can I bring my dog? = Yes but it will need to be on a lead.

What's the cost? = This walk is £40 per person, but 100% will be donated to the Alzheimer Society.

What's the group size? = Maximum of 10 for this walk.

How fit do I need to be? = Fairly fit as this is a 4+ hour walk with some steep climbs. If you can run 5K in under 30 minutes we'd say this is a good fitness barometer.
